Introduction
If you're thinking AI will kill your blog, it probably will! 😬
I have been using Github Copilot for coding. It has helped me become more productive when writing code. I thought that maybe a Copilot for blogging would help me write articles faster. I was wrong. 🤐
Jenni
My bro David is building Jenni. His story is super fucking inspiring. Go follow him if you haven't.
Jenni is an AI assistant for writers. It's like Github Copilot for coding.
My experience
I tried Jenni. It was cool. But I realized I had to tweak every sentence it generated. So instead of becoming more productive, I became less productive.
It's because I have my own style of writing. The language I use is plain. As a blogger, I write to connect with my readers. I'm not writing academic papers or essays where people care more about the content than connecting with the author. 😂
I mean, it could apply to blogging too, depending on what type of blog you've. However, for me, it ain't working.
Could AI kill your blog?
AI could kill your blog. I say could, not that it will. By adding a personal touch to your blog, you become unique. You've probably noticed how plain my language has been in my last few blog posts. To me, it's super exciting to see that people dig it.
Thank you for sharing so honestly! Feels like we just had a chat together :D
This is how I want people to feel when reading my blog. As you have noticed, I don't start my introductions like others do with "In this post, we will...". I want my blog to stand out. Thankfully, my personality is already very unique. I just gotta embed it into my posts more. 😈
Many people rush to AI without thinking because of their laziness. Think, try it out, see the results and then decide whether it's worth it. I thought AI for blogging would be a game-changer, but it wasn't.
Conclusion
If you're doing something and adding AI, ensure the results improve. Don't use AI blindly and let it ruin your shit.
